I can't say my teachers were incompetent. Rather they didn't take pains, since English was not my major. I think the only new thing I learned at the university classes was the word 'arbitrary'. In fact, some of my mates could hardly read. By and large, I consider myself an autodidact.

Well, in the university they split us students into groups based on how well we performed in an English proficiency test. I wasn't a fluent English speaker then, but I passed the test and got assigned to a group where most people were able to express themselves in English and one girl was quite fluent, having just returned back to Russia after a long stay in the US.

You can't translate же 1:1.

If же is without adversative force, it serves to emphasize. Emphatic constructions in English is something worth discussing. Here are some examples from Lingvo:

я же говорил вам об этом! — I did tell you about it!; didn't I tell you about it! ты же не серьезно, да? — surely you don't mean it, do you? он же меня совсем не знает — but he doesn't know me at all почему вы ему не верите? Он же доктор — Why don't you trust him? He is a doctor after all

Well, in fact, according to Lurkmore, the practice of adding zhe appeared as a translation of the practice of adding desu to every sentence, and should be traced back to the fansubs of the "Rozen Maiden" anime, so it is a kind of meme. I seriouslty doubt it is translatable.

Does anzbody knows the library, which someway is like uz-trans, and contains lot ov eng-lang-books, I was registered at but forgot every keyword to find it... ?

I suppose I do not belong to those people. I can easily recollect disagreeable experience which had befallen me. Here I use recollect in the Kierkegaardian sense of huske. But I desist from reminiscing (erindre mig) about that kind of events, however irresistible the temptation may appear...
