Hey, guys! I have a question about some sort of an odd idiomatic pattern I came across today when reading Glen Cook's "Dreams of steal". It reads:
"I hurried. Enemy patrols would be out looking for important bodies come first light".
I generally understand what the "come" thing means here. But I'd like to see more samples where the construction works with this verb or others in order to learn how to use it freely. How is this grammatical topic called? Could you please give me a link where such sentences are broken down, discussed, reviewed? Or do it yourself if possible. Thanks for your attention!
