Pardon me, but I can't quite understand what you guys are talking about. Rocky, are you against the Latin-based Romanian alphabet? Do you think Russia changed it in order to separate the Moldovans from the Romanians? Well, it's not far from the truth, since the Soviets always saw some kind of threat to the integrity of their system even in languages. The Tajiks were similarly deprived of their ancient literary tradition and Azerbaijani Turks were just renamed to Azerbaijanis.
