By the way, speaking of French, я обнаружил пару шикарных явлений. Прямое французское дополнение может иметь предлог!!! Officially, without attaching this miracle to a phrasal verb )) Поскольку предлог, отвечающий за отношение винительного падежа (дё), иногда подрабатывает неопределенным артиклем.
Второй момент - это эмфаза именительного сказуемого при восторге. Связка БЫТЬ выбрасывается, а именная часть - полностью, или частично переставляется в начало предложения. Поэтому, если вы встречаете английское предложение без глагола вообще, то это не русский след, а культурная экспансия Франции. Да! Французский определенно шикарен. Страшно подумать, какие лингвистические открытия можно сделать, если иметь пяток пленных французов для опытов.

Структурная формула предложения фиксирует его смысл более однозначно, чем любой перевод. Можно спорить до бесконечности о правильности перевода с английского, пока оппонент не бросит вам в лицо свою схему структуры предложения ))

Все вроде работает как надо, но английский сдался как всегда без боя. Осталось чувство легкого неудовлетворения, поэтому я прошелся по французскому языку, теми же граблями. Там те же три типа сказуемых и прочий ливер.
Однако есть и своя специфика, которая вынудила задействовать резервные буквы латинского алфавита, а также свободную цифру 9. Большинство этих добавлений могут быть использованы для более тонкой классификации английских предложений.

9 - обстоятельство в начале предложения (дополнительно к цифре 8, в прочих позициях);
Q - выделительный оборот
XYZ- обороты причастия1, деепричастия (герундия фр.), причастия2;
N- оборот с отрицательным элементом;
M- оборот с числительным;
P- оборот с вопросительным словом.

Эти буквы могут быть использованы в строчном написании, при необходимости, для замены маленького "s" после обозначения Члена Предложения. Таким образом, для сложных членов предложения, появляется дополнительная градация по типу оборота, вместо раннее неопределенного.

Вполне допускаю что в таком расширенном виде, классификация будет работать и с другими языками, имеющими 3 типа сказуемого и 6 лиц.

Переходим к именному сказуемому. Строго говоря, глагол БЫТЬ никогда не используется как смысловой глагол в простом сказуемом. Исключение, единственное которое могу представить - это когда дополнение будет выражено полноценным предложением после местоименного союза. Если кто может припомнить или придумать ИНОЕ - поделитесь!

Помимо БЫТЬ, в именном сказуемом могут использоваться другие глаголы-связки СТАНОВИТЬСЯ, КАЗАТЬСЯ, ВЫГЛЯДЕТЬ ... Вероятно около десятка английских глаголов, но полного списка я не встретил пока. Может его и нет. В любом случае эти глаголы размывают грань между простым и именным сказуемым. Впрочем как и в Глагольном, где есть бригада глаголов-отщипенцев, прикидывающихся модальными.

Не только подлежащее может быть предложением, но и второстепенные члены тоже. Обозначение основ таких предложений делает формулу мало-эксплонаторной )) Думаю необходимо ввести обозначение таких членов добавлением маленькой ЭС (сэнтэнс) после них. И все будет ОК.

Explanatory является определением к слову explanations.

women - какой член предложения? По смыслу - подлежащее без сказуемого. Обстоятельством едва ли. В литературе такое бывает и в простых предложениях. Получается что надо вводить нулевой тип сказуемого.
Итого: 0-мнимое, 1-простое, 2-именное, 3-глагольное
