 1st International Symposium, Jena 2015. INTEGRATING NEW EVIDENCE FOR THE ORIGIN AND SPREAD OF THE INDO-EUROPEAN LANGUAGES

В Йене в Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History собирается во второй декаде октября международная конференция генетиков, лингвистов и археологов, задача которой — интеграция новых данных по происхождению и распространению индоевропейских языков. На ней присутствуют почти все виднейшие исследователи этой темы. Это протагонисты основных концепций: степной – Джим Мэллори, Дэвид Энтони; анатолийской — Рассел Грэй, Ремко Букэрт; скептики — Жан-Поль Демуль. Отсутствуют некоторые видные противники степной гипотезы – Колин Ренфру, Гамкрелидзе и Иванов. Но зато представлены авторы почти всех сенсационных статей с новейшими данными генетики, имена которых у всех на слуху – Вольфганг Хаак, Дэвид Райх, Мортен Аллентофт, Иосиф Лазаридис, Кристиан Кристенсен. Россию представляет член ряда международных команд и руководитель команды, изучающей Северную Евразию, — Олег Балановский.

Эта конференция чрезвычайной важности заранее официально объявлена как первая (что на моей памяти никогда не делалось) — то есть ясно, что такие конференции решено собирать регулярно.

Чего мы ждем от этой конференции? Открытие степного генетического вклада в население Центральной и Северной Европы уже сделано одновременно двумя разными командами. Но есть целый ряд трудностей, препятствующих гладкому признанию этого вклада как определяющего степную прародину  индоевропейских языков: странное распределение степного генофонда в Центральной и Северной Европе (преимущественно на севере), отсутствие сопровождения движения геномов движением культуры и т.п. В случае признания ямной культуры протоиндоевропейской нужно обнаружить родственных с ней протохеттов, двигающихся из степей в Анатолию, чего археология не позволяет сделать. Не случайно до сих пор степная гипотеза была только одной из гипотез происхождения индоевропейцев. Ее археологические доказательства очень слабы и сводятся к распространению кургана.

Для постановки и разработки этих вопросов на конференции маловато скептиков и противников степной гипотезы. Она скорее выглядит как съезд победителей, но всё это очень крупные исследователи, и обойти трудности они вряд ли смогут и захотят.
