Ось тільки-но поцапався з одним перекладачем через його обурення офіційними перекладами певних юридичних термінів.

Перший термін це minority languages, який, на його думку, має перекладатися не як "мови меншин", а як "загрожені мови". І це попри офіційне пояснення до Хартії

18. In preference to other expressions such as «less widespread languages», the CAHLR opted for the term «regional or minority languages». The adjective «regional» denotes languages spoken in a limited part of the territory of a state, within which, moreover, they may be spoken by the majority of the citizens. The term «minority» refers to situations in which either the language is spoken by persons who are not concentrated on a specific part of the territory of a state or it is spoken by a group of persons, which, though concentrated on part of the territory of the state, is numerically smaller than the population in this region which speaks the majority language of the state...

Другий термін це children of tender years, що переклали у нас "малолітні діти" (ну немає у нас молодшої категорії в законодавстві). Не вважаю, що можливо вводити настільки "художній" й непрозорий "епітет" (діти тендітного віку) з англо-саксонського права, не давши йому визначення в українському законодавстві.
