I need an authoritative link or a standard which linguists use as a reference point (to compare). It would be not bad if someone knows more or less right phonemes (wav) links (with correct formants ..etc). Only direct links to wav-files.
(Sure if Received Pronunciation phonemes aren't proprietary but free to access)
All 44 of them. For example: ash, epsilon, schwa, theta, wedge...
Thank you!
Here (http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/grammar/pron/sounds/con_other_6.shtml) you can listen to all the sounds of British English (both vowels and consonants). I think it's a modern variety of RP, since it sounds not so old-fashioned as the Queen's speech.

You're welcome. But it's not what I prefer. I like American English.

My own pronunciation is barbarous, so this link won't help.
But my daughter is an English teacher and I sent this link to her.
I received a reply earlier from this forum thread:
Где найти (достать) фонемы RP English? (http://lingvoforum.net/index.php/topic,66333.0.html)
However, I have a question. Does Wikipedia have good enough authority?
